Ambassador Kimonyo Named Among the 2024 Outstanding Figures by Home and Abroad News Press
On 30th December 2024, Rwanda’s Ambassador to China, H.E. James Kimonyo, was recognized as one of the 2024 Outstanding Figures by ‘Home and Abroad News Press’ for his significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Rwanda and China and his close collaboration with Chinese media.
The awarding ceremony took place in Beijing and attended by reporters from Chinese and international mainstream media, as well as distinguished Chinese and foreign guests.
Home and Abroad News Press is a prominent Chinese media outlet specializing in public and cultural diplomacy designated as mainstream media by three United Nation Organizations.
On behalf of the Ambassador, Mr. Augustin Buregeya, the Embassy Chargé d’Affaires a.i, commended Home and Abroad News Press for its pivotal role in fostering relations between Rwanda and China through various initiatives.
The 2024 Outstanding Figures Award also honored the Ambassadors of Peru, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Cuba.
