Rwanda and Pakistan Aim to Strengthen Ties in Trade and Investment
A delegation from Rwanda participated in the 3rd Engineering and Healthcare show in Lahore, Pakistan, from January 18th to 20th 2024.
Organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Ministry of Commerce, this event serves as the largest showcase of Pakistan's engineering and healthcare products and technologies to a global audience.
The 26-member Rwandan delegation, joined by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Rwanda, Ambassador Naeem Ullah Khan, engaged with companies in Lahore to explore business and investment opportunities between Rwanda and Pakistan.
On the sidelines of the show, Mr. Samuel Abikunda, the Embassy's Commercial Attaché, held a meeting with a group of Pakistani companies. During the session, he introduced them to Rwanda's business environment and highlighted compelling investment opportunities within the country's successful and business-friendly landscape.
The exhibition served as a valuable platform for Rwandan businesses, fostering meaningful interactions with their Pakistani counterparts. It facilitated a comprehensive exchange on a wide range of incentives available on both sides. Participants utilized the opportunity to explore potential collaborations, discuss trade policies, and gain insights into specific incentives.
Rwanda and Pakistan, with a longstanding relationship spanning sixty-two years, actively collaborate in various fields, including trade, health, and investment.
This recent engagement marks a significant stride in strengthening partnership and exploring the vast potential for collaboration in the years to come.
