Rwanda Embassy Introduces Rwanda Tour and Travel Agencies in Universal Exhibition

On 17th October, Rwanda Embassy along with other embassies, foreign and local tour and travel agencies participated in the Universal Tourism Exhibition (UTE) in Beijing. The event is a large outbound tourism trade platform organized by the Beijing Golden Sunshine Conference and Exhibition Company.

The exhibition is an opportunity for Business – to – Business (B2B) platform for Chinese outbound travel agencies and overseas inbound travel agencies, hotels, resorts, scenic spots, and tourism platforms. The Exhibition aimed to connect the Chinese tour and travel agencies with the foreign tour and travel agencies.

Rwanda Embassy,  seized the opportunity to introduce Rwanda’s tour and travel agencies at time Rwanda Air is about to start the Kigali – Guangzhou route. The Ambassador of Rwanda to China said that the exhibition served well his plans to popularize Rwandan travel and tour agencies as well as tourism products and services available in Rwanda and the East African region as a whole. The East African Visa made traveling to the region easy for tourists, Ambassador added. 

China leads world in not only in global investment and business export, but also in the numbers of tourists traveling abroad and in expenditure by tourists. Increase of Chinese tourists to Rwanda and the region will be a game changer, the envoy said.

The exhibition is not only designed for B2B platform, but rather a linkage connection between Chinese outbound travel agencies and overseas inbound travel agencies. Universal Tourism Exhibition is annual event that last one to two days attracting and connecting foreign companies, this year event is organized to take place in Beijing and Guangzhou.
