From, 30 August to 01 September 2019, Rwanda embassy participated in the China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo 2019 (CITIE) at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, China.

A-ttracting more than sixty countries, regions, consulate generals in Guangzhou, representatives from tourism organizations of Hong Kong, Macao, China Taiwan, and China Provincial tourism departments, the expo has become the best market oriented international tourism exhibition in China.

At the exhibition, Rwanda Embassy promoted RwandAir, tourism investment, and Made in Rwanda products. Earlier this year, Rwanda was recognized as the ‘Most Distinctive Tourist Destination at Guangzhou International Travel Fair 2019’.

Reiterating on the RwandAir’s launch to Guangdong in June, the Embassy Chargé d'affaires a.i, Mr. Virgile Rwanyagatare said that, the flight will among others create new business opportunities to both Chinese and Rwandans, adding that CITIE 2019 came as an opportunity to advertise and market the RwandAir in Guangdong and China in general.
