Rwanda Embassy Presented Home grown Products in the Cultural Exhibition of Countries Along the Belt & Road Initiative

From 11th to 13th September 2017, Rwanda embassy in Beijing along with other foreign countries attended the Second Colorful World Cultural Exhibition of Countries along the Belt and Road Event. The Exhibition was part of the 12th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE).

During the three-day event, more than 80 delegations attended and more than 100 activities including exhibitions, forums and trade promotions were conducted with aim to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and the countries along the Belt and Road, promoting the national culture, and strengthening friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries.

Rwanda Embassy represented their cultural, educational and tourism resources, showcasing the unique geographical features, ethnic customs, cultural styles and made in Rwanda products (handcrafts and coffee). Rwanda Government Agenda supports the promotion of home grown products and tourism on international market. The economic development of China and historically good relations with Africa has been a key factor in economic development experienced in Rwanda as well as other countries on the continent of Africa. 

The event was hosted by Beijing Foreign Cultural Exchange center in cooperation with the Information Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and China Council for the Promotion of international Trade Beijing Sub-council.
