Rwandan Students Graduate from Joint Training Program Between IPRC Musanze and Jinhua Vocational Technology

On 8th January 2025, the Embassy attended the graduation ceremony of 30 Rwandan students who successfully completed a joint training program in E-Commerce and Electrical Automation organized by Integrated Polytechnic Regional College-Musanze (IPRC Musanze) and Jinhua University of Vocational Technology in China.

The ceremony marked the inaugural cohort of students who successfully completed their studies under an exchange program established in 2024 between IPRC Musanze and Jinhua University of Vocational Technology.

The event was attended by the Embassy Chargé d’affaires a.i, Augustin Buregeya along with Zhu Chonglie, the Secretary of Jinhua Municipal Party Committee who commended the practical cooperation between Rwanda and China.

In his address, the Chargé d’Affaires urged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills they gained to make meaningful contributions to Rwanda’s development.

Zhu commended the practical cooperation between Rwanda and China and noted that Jinhua attaches great importance on its exchanges and cooperation with Rwanda.

Jinhua and Musanze have become the first national-level sister cities between the two countries.

The partnership between IPRC Musanze and Jinhua University of Vocational Technology began in 2017. Since then, many young Rwandans have had the opportunity to study at Jinhua Polytechnic.

As part of this collaboration, a Luban Workshop focusing on E-Commerce and Electrical Automation was established at IPRC Musanze in 2022. The workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, that support students to be creative and innovative to work on solutions that the community and industry needs.
