The Embassy Signs an Agreement to Boost the Agriculture Sector

On 13th August 2021, the Embassy signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with International College Beijing of China Agriculture University and Guoke Global Innovation Technology Group Co., Ltd.

The signed agreement is aimed at working together to promote Research and Development (R&D) and application of smart technologies in Rwanda’s agriculture industrial chain and providing education and training opportunities for Rwandan students and professionals in the agriculture sector.

The agreement was signed at the Embassy of Rwanda in Beijing, by Rwanda’s Ambassador to China, James Kimonyo, Mr. Li Daoliang, the Dean of International College Beijing of China Agricultural University, and Mr. Wu Zengjun, the Principal of Guoke Global Innovation Technology (Guangzhou) Co.,Ltd.

The signed agreement will boost the capacity building of Rwandans in agriculture sector and establish Rwanda as a hub in East Africa and the rest of Africa in line with the Belt and Road Initiative.

Rwandan students and professionals will also benefit from the agreement, where they will be able to obtain scholarships and training opportunities, attend academic seminars, industry visits, discussion salons and other high-end exchange activities.

International College Beijing is a college at China Agricultural University that offers quality joint education programs in diverse areas, such as Economics, Communications, Agribusiness, Finance, etc.

Guoke Global Innovation Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd is a leading Internet platform development and operation service provider and modern agricultural industry solution provider committed to promoting the innovation and entrepreneurship platform of the deep integration of government, schools and enterprises.
