The Young People of Today are the Leaders of Tomorrow, Ambassador Kayonga
On 30 July 2019, a group of eighty young students from three schools of Yango Education Group visited Embassy of Rwanda in Beijing. The visit is part of the Yango Education Group tour to learn about culture and history of different countries.
At the Embassy, Ambassador Charles Kayonga introduced to the young students the history and culture of Rwanda through presentation and videos.
The Ambassador was happy with the program as provides the youth, the future leaders with knowledge about foreign countries in a situation of increasing globalization. As a result, they will be better prepared to assume more effective roles in our societies and countries.
Mr. Zhong Yongqiang, who led the student group, said that Yango Education Group commends good friendship with embassy. “We have learnt a lot from today’s visit, thanks to Ambassador and embassy staff for giving us this opportunity. Our students have gained more from presentations and videos,” Zhong noted.
During the session interaction, students asked questions about Rwanda and Rwanda – China relationship.
“Rwanda-China relations are now at the highest ever, following mutual visits by our leaders, H.E Paul Kagame and H.E Xi Jinping in 2017 and 2018. The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1971 and cooperation has grown exponentially in recent years,” the Envoy said.
The students showed different artistic and cultural skills such as singing and playing music instruments. They also sang Beijing opera, a Chinese music style, which combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance and acrobatics. The Yango Education Group applauded the opportunity of visiting Rwanda embassy.
